Support Lejre Land of Legends as a non-profit organization!

Thank you for thinking of us at Lejre Land of Legends!
We are so grateful for all of your help in a difficult time. All help and donations are more than appreciated and help ensure that we – also in the future – can open our doors to experiences of the past for young and old.
Monetary amounts of more than DKK 200 given as voluntary donations to Lejre Land of Legends are tax deductible, as Lejre Land of Legends is approved by SKAT as a general charitable and non-profit institution under section 8A of the Tax Assessment Act. This means that you as a donor can deduct the amount you donate from your taxable income. The deductibility for donations applies to amounts from DKK 200 and up to DKK 16,600.
Therefore, remember to state your CPR number – or if you donate as a company, CVR – when you transfer voluntary donations to Lejre Land of Legends. We will then report the donation, which will then be automatically registered on your tax return.

By joining the Friends of the Land of Legends, you get, in addition to the season pass, a wide range of benefits, while at the same time giving us the huge help it is that, through your membership, you give us the opportunity to draw on you if we need an extra hand.
It can be at work weekends, where we help make the historic environments tip-top ready for guests, it can be as a volunteer when we enjoy Christmas, or it can be in very special situations, such as the one we are facing this year when we open the season in a whole new world where restrictions and hand sanitizer are paramount. Where we work to do everything we can to take care of both our employees and our many guests – we will definitely need an extra hand for that! ?

- Sagnlandet’s core values: Diversity – Understanding – Responsibility. Our starting point is that all people have roots in a specific culture and are both history makers and history creators with a shared responsibility for how the society of the future will be shaped. With our foundation in archaeology and history, we want to put the present into perspective. That is why we base our core values on:
Diversity – because history shows diversity in people’s culture, self-understanding and understanding of the world around them.
Understanding – because history shows the connections between people’s cultural background and their view of society, nature and resource utilization.
Responsibility – because we should learn from history and take an active and reflective approach to the sustainable management of cultural and natural heritage in shaping the society of the future. - A knowledge-educational activity center. Sagnlandet is classified by the Ministry of Education as one of Denmark’s 16 Knowledge-Pedagogical Activity Centers (VPAC) The 15 Knowledge-Pedagogical Activity Centers are the most important knowledge disseminating institutions within: “… the technical & scientific and the artistic, cultural, historical, literary and philosophical areas, which are not museums, but which stand for an alternative and supplementary communication of difficult-to-access phenomena and concepts – and whose concept is based on knowledge dissemination through the active participation of the audience.” (www.uvm.dk)
