The opening hours of Lejre Land of Legends depend on the seasons. We have different opening hours, depending on which time of the year we’re in. You can read more about our opening hours here.
There is about 300 to 400 meters from the parking lot to the entrance of the King’s Hall. A trip through Lejre Land of Legends is like a stroll hrough the forest. There are several areas in Lejre Land of Legends inaccessible to a wheelchair, strollers or a prams. The Blue Route in our guide is the most accessible for wheelchairs, strollers and prams. The Yellow Route is not made for wheelchairs, strollers or prams. Read more about accessibility in Lejre Land of Legends here.
It’s free to park at Lejre Land of Legends. We have 3 parking lots with over 300 parking spots. The third parking lot is hiding behind the second one we have – so even if it looks like the parking lot is full, keep on looking: there’s yet another one at the back! Read more about parking here.
All visitors to Lejre Land of Legends must pass through the store. It’s the only passageway into Lejre Land of Legends, so it will look like there’s a long queue – don’t worry though, it often looks longer than it actually is! (Especially with social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic). The queue splits inside the shop between those who have visited Lejre Land of Legends before (and have a seasonal access card) and those for whom this is the first visit.
Rent a trolley!
I Lejre Land of Legends, it’s possible to rent a trolley to pull your picnic and bags. It costs DKK 25,- to rent a trolley as well as DKK 100,- in a security deposit. Please note that not all routes in Lejre Land of Legends are wide enough for the trolley to pass. Read more on our accessibility here.

Lejre Land of Legends has developed an app which will help you through the landscape. Turn on your location settings and bluetooth and use it in Lejre Land of Legends where the map indicates. The app automatically translates the texts available into a wide array of languages.
The King’s Hall
Due to current COVID-19 related restrictions, we have implemented time reservation for guided tours inside the King’s Hall, so we can guarantee your safety during your visit.
