No, we don’t. Lejre Land of Legends has 43 hectars of some of Denmark’s most beautiful landscape that guests can explore. That’s 430,000 square meters, and means that we have space for everyone. On our most busy days, it may look like there are many cars on the parking lot, but we’ve expanded it with extra room in the rear end of the parking lot. When you arrive, you have to come through the entrance, and in the mornings there may be a queue there, on our busiest days. Thankfully, you’ll be through quickly, since the queue splits as soon as you come into the entrance building. That way, we ensure that everyone gets in with the shortest amount of waiting time.
You can write us an e-mail on kontakt@sagnlandet.dk or phone at +45 46 48 08 78.
If you need a specific employee, you can try and find them on our contact page.
It costs DKK 175,- per adult and DKK 115,- per child. You can read more about student discounts, group discounts, institution and school rates, and a lot more here.
Your entrance ticket is actually a seasonal ticket, so when you’ve bought entry to Lejre Land of Legends once, you can actually come back for the remainder of the season. Take good care of the little card you get delivered at the entrance.
Yes, we accept Copenhagen Cards.
Lejre Land of Legends has different opening hours depending on the season. You can find all of our 2022 opening hours and seasons here.

To a point, yes. A lot of the roads and paths in Lejre Land of Legends aren’t paved, and that means that the accessibility depends on whether there’s mud or now. Some of the houses in the Iron Age village have been equipped with wheelchair slips, so you can enter them. Additionally, our staff is ready to help you in and out of our historical buildings.
The Blue Route is the most wheelchair and pram friendly route. It brings through the Iron Age village, the Viking area, the Firevalley, the historical workshops, the Café and the shop. Most manual wheelchairs, prams, trolleys should be able to pass, depending on the user’s and the assistant’s physical shape. We’ve experienced that some stretches can be a little bit tricky to pass for electrical wheelchairs. There are no benches along the route for now.
The Yellow Route is not accessible to wheelchairs or prams. There are no benches along the route.
Weather and meteorological conditions can define whether or not the route is passable or not, and it may be vary from day to day.

CHILDREN
Yes, there is. You can find them by the Visitor Centre.
You’re welcome to bring your prams and trolleys with you, so that the smaller ones can come with you around Lejre Land of Legends. There are a few places where a pram can’t pass on the Yellow Route in the Stone Age, which brings you past a forest path. On this path, you’ll have to cross a bridge that’s just a single plank wide.
If it’s been raining a lot in the days up to your visit, it can be hard or strenuous to carry a pram, as some areas can become muddy.
No, it is not possible to rent a trolley to pull your picnic and bags. You are welcome to bring your own, but please note that not all routes in Lejre Land of Legends are wide enough for the trolley to pass. Read more on our accessibility here. Read more about accessibility here.

Yes, you can, BUT! Smoking isn’t allowed inside in ANY of our buildings or reconstructions. It is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN to smoke within the Iron Age village!
We also appreciate that you extinguish your cigarette buds and throw them in the trash. We have a lot of reconstructions that can burn down very quickly and takes a lot of time to rebuild. Some of them can’t be replaced.
Yes, we do. We can’t guarantee that we find all the lost items, but there’s always somewhere to start. If you find something in the landscape, you’re welcome to hand it in by the Visitor Centre.
Many of our guests love the feeling of traveling back in time, and the experience of themselves being part of history. For some, that means a desire to wear costumes or historic garb during a visit. In Lejre Land of Legends we work with living history, which means that part of our staff is in historic garb. To avoid confusion – who is a guest and who is a visitor -, as well as to minimize the risk of time-travel confusion across our four different living historic environments, we ask you to visit in modern clothes and not dressed up or in historical garb.
