Getting around in Lejre Land of LegendsUpdated June 7th 2022 A trip through Lejre Land of Legends is like a walk through the woods. Lejre Land of Legends reaches across 43 hectars, and there are several areas where a wheelchair or pram can’t get through. We are currently working on getting more benches up along the different routes of Lejre Land of Legends, so that it’s possible to take a short break while you’re walking through our fantastic landscape if needed. For now, it’s only in our Firevalley, by the Café and in the historical workshops that it’s possible to find benches. On the map to the left you can see which routes we have in Lejre Land of Legends. The Blue Route is the most wheelchair and pram friendly route. It brings through the Iron Age village, the Viking area, the Firevalley, the historical workshops, the Café and the shop. Most manual wheelchairs and prams should be able to pass, depending on the user’s and the assistant’s physical shape. We’ve experienced that some stretches can be a little bit tricky to pass for electrical wheelchairs. There are no benches along the route for now. The Yellow Route is not accessible to wheelchairs or prams. There are no benches along the route. In the Iron Age village, you can find wheelchair slips in order to help you get into the houses. You can ask the Iron Age guides in the village for help – they’re ready to help you. Weather can also be definitive about how easy the different routes are – rain and snow can make some of the nature roads more muddy than in the summer months. Have a look at the card on the left before visiting. Accessible restrooms in Lejre Land of LegendsYou can find accessible restrooms in Lejre Land of Legends at the visitor center and at the Café, Hvidesøhus. The café can be found on the Blue Route. |
