Constitutional speeches: Introduction, Grundtvig, Staunig
and the Mayor

Lejre Land of Legends introduces the Constitution with a historical perspective from 11.00-11.15.

Then one of Lejre Land of Legends’ interpreters will reproduce Grundtvig’s speech from 1854 from 11.15 to 11.30. The original speech took place in Lejre on 5 June 1854.

Then another presenter will reproduce Stauning’s speech from 1934, which originally took place on 5 June 1934 in Søndermarken in Copenhagen from 11.45 to 12.00.

And finally, the current mayor of Lejre Municipality, who sits on the board of Sagnlandet Lejre, will give this year’s constitution speech in Sagnlandet Lejre. Tina Mandrup will give the speech in 2025.
