The Wild Road

Discover the animals and beautiful natural landscape of Lejre Land of Legends

The Wild path is the newest addition to Lejre Land of Legends – a 330-metre-long walkway that winds its way between treetops, moraine hills and over the animal pens of Lejre Land of Legends at heights of up to 8 metres.

On The Wild Path you can enjoy a view that must be among the most beautiful in Denmark!

The Wild Path is open to everyone, all opening days, throughout the opening hours of Lejre Land of Legends.

Take a trip through the Ice Age landscape and enjoy the most beautiful nature experience of the summer!

The Wild Path is pram and wheelchair friendly
The Wild Path is made so that it never has a slope of more than 6 degrees.
This means that it is built so that wheelchairs, prams, pushchairs and the like can easily drive on it.

In addition to the experience it is in itself, The Wild Path makes it easier to get out and experience the 19th century area of Lejre Land of Legends, which now becomes more accessible, even if you are among those who are not so comfortable with gravel roads and slopes.

The Wild Path is the first part of the Animals’ Land of Legends project, which, with a total donation of 52.3 million, is financed by Annie & Otto Johs. Detlefs’ Foundation, which was founded by the married couple Annie and the late Otto Johs. and which has provided indispensable support to Danish cultural life for over 20 years.
