The Iron Age village of Lethra is to welcome two Celts. Most people probably know them best from the stories of Asterix and Obelix. They will be demonstrating and talking about weapons, artistic motifs, culinary traditions and iron. So come along and learn about the Celts’ influential culture during the Danish Iron Age.

The Celts will be demonstrating weapons and military tactics –No. 25 from the three stones in Lethra – 12.00–12.30
Hear about the Celts’ influence on metalworking and weapon development during the Danish Iron Age. There will be demonstrations of the art of war as well as displays of weaponry.    

The Celts’ timeless patterns – No. 25 from the three stones at Lethra – 2.00–2.30 pm
Learn about the Celts’ artistic motifs and symbols through the ages and try your hand at making a small piece of jewellery to take home.

The Celts Then & Now – No. 23 from the Stone Age grave, 4.00–4.30 pm
Hear a modern-day Celtic person talk about the Celts’ influence in Denmark since the Iron Age. There will also be tastings of bowl bread, honey and ‘cave cheese’.
