Join us as we open Lejre Land of Legends by celebrating Easter!
It’s both Easter and springtime in Krikkebjerghuse, Lejre Land of Legends’ homesteads from the 1800s. And Easter is a special time.
Every day of Easter offers new tasks, traditions and stories. Take the road to Krikkebjerghuse and listen as the farmers tell the stories behind Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Shrove Saturday and the rest of the old holiday.
Join in and play the traditional egg games with the new spring layers or colour a hen’s Easter egg with spring seedlings and winter onion skins and see what patterns you can coax out of the egg.
Every day you can help feed sheep and goats by hand in the paddocks and hunt for greens for hungry animal stomachs.
And if you have a special favourite, you can also get a tip or two to find out if the spring feelings are reciprocated.
