Info

People in the past couldn’t manage without their animals – and at Sagnlandet Lejre, animals are still part of everyday life. We’re highlighting this in week 31, from 27 July to 2 August, when you can get up close to some of our many animals every day.

Every day throughout the week, you can join the feeding round and meet the farm animals, and from Monday to Friday, you can accompany animal keeper and nature guide Mia Carlsen out to the aurochs and sheep waiting in Sagnlandet Lejre’s beautiful natural landscape, or you can join a special guided tour along Den Vilde Vej, watch the wild boars being fed and listen to Mia talk about the animals’ origins and the close relationship between humans and animals that has existed for millennia.
