The Wild Road is the newest addition to Lejre Land of Legends – a 330-metre-long footbridge that winds its way between treetops, moraine hills and over the animal pens of the Land of Legends at a height of up to 8 metres.
On Den Vilde Vej you can enjoy a view that must be among the most beautiful in Denmark!
Den Vilde Vej is open to everyone, on all opening days, throughout the opening hours of Lejre Land of Legends.
Den Vilde Vej is pram and wheelchair friendly
Den Vilde Vej is made so that it never has a slope of more than 6 degrees.
This means that it is built so that wheelchairs, prams, pushchairs and the like can easily drive on it.
In addition to the experience it is in itself, The Wild Road makes it easier to get out and experience the 19th century area of Lejre Land of Legends, which now becomes more accessible, even if you are among those who are not so comfortable with gravel roads and slopes.
The Wild Road is the first part of the Animals’ Land of Legends project, which, with a total donation of DKK 52.3 million, is financed by Annie & Otto Johs. Detlefs’ Foundation, which was founded by the married couple Annie and the late Otto Johs. and which has provided indispensable support to Danish cultural life for over 20 years.
