Constitution Day in Lejre Land of Legends – 5 June
Celebrate Democracy Day in the middle of history! Lejre Land of Legends invites you to a lively and cosy day for the whole family with activities, music and historical stories from the 1800s.
The programme includes:
- Games from the old days with 19th-century playmates in Båldalen
- Stalls with coffee, cake, crafts and a picnic area
- The wise wife predicts your future in coffee grounds
- Tin moulding – make your own tin soldier or ballerina (DKK 25)
- Constitutional speeches with historical re-enactments and this year’s official speech by Mayor Tina Mandrup
- Music and dancing at Café Hvidesøhus – including the Hvidesøhus polka!
- Don’t forget your hat! We’re celebrating in historic style – and so are you!
