How did people make fire before lighters and matches?
On 21 and 22 June, you can take a journey through the history of fire in Lejre Land of Legends’ Fire Valley.
We show how people from the Ice Age to the present day have lit fires with everything from flint and fire drills to steel and sulphur. You can experience the many forms and functions of fire – as heat, light, cooking, and as a gathering point and symbol. A sensory experience for the whole family with stories, demonstrations and fire in all its forms.
