FOODIE AND HISTORY BUFF FOR CAFE HVIDESØHUS
Have you always dreamed of a job in the world’s coziest café? And are you both a foodie and a history buff?
–Then now is the time to apply for a job at Lejre Land of Legends Café Hvidesøhus.
We are looking for a cheerful person with kitchen experience for our wonderful Café Hvidesøhus.
If you have courage, a love of food and history, 30-37 hours a week and the desire to roll up your sleeves both in the kitchen and at the front, then you might be just the person we are looking for to become part of the team at Café Hvidesøhus.
In Café Hvidesøhus we serve everything from modern necessities to selected lunch dishes, giving young and old guests in Lejre Land of Legends the chance to taste a piece of history, inspired by 19th century cuisine.
The menu is small but versatile and covers sandwiches as well as cold and hot dishes from our own production, homemade cakes and classic hot/cold drinks.the selection is based on the season, seasonal ingredients and the guest composition in Lejre Land of Legends.
The recipe for the one we are looking for:
9 parts joy of food and a bubbly good mood
7 parts flexibility, responsibility and lots of courage
5 parts kitchen flair and a good overview
3 parts sales flair, good customer contact and a dash of life experience.
Carefully select all ingredients and properties and stir them together. Add fresh personal spices according to your skills and knowledge.
Feel free to add a dash of history interest and a large portion of drive.
Whip it all together with good collaboration skills and independent work in a small team and serve in Café Hvidesøhus’ beautiful setting.
Sprinkle with dedicated and friendly colleagues in an exciting workplace with many thousands of visitors annually.
Kitchen utensils and other practicalities:
As part of the team at Café Hvidesøhus, you will report to Café Manager Jette Aagaard Andersen, who is responsible for everything from the menu to daily operations on the floor. We offer a varied workday where you will be in both the kitchen and the front, and you will be involved in tasks related to the purchase of ingredients, sparring, self-monitoring, shift planning and events.
Working hours: 30-37 hours per week depending on both you and the season. Weekend work is to be expected.
Employment period: From March 17 or as soon as possible thereafter and initially until October 24, 2025.

SAGNLANDET LEJRE is a cultural and historical experience center. We have 75,000 visitors during the main season from April 1 – October 31, and during the three Advent weekends in December.
