Tinget, from the Old Norse word &#8220;\u00feing&#8221;, is the assembly of the people where the Vikings settled law and order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\">During your visit to Ravnebjerg, you will be able to witness how the Vikings settled disputes and tensions among the inhabitants of the village. In the Viking Age, the Ting was an important framework for maintaining law and peace &#8211; and the word &#8220;Ting&#8221; still appears in the parliament and county council. It was a way of introducing popular rule so that various disputes were settled in a neutral environment.
