The shop is both tourist information and the gateway to the Land of Legends. This is where you buy your ticket, which is also a season pass. There are good reasons to stay a little longer in the shop and browse the many exciting products – for the quality-conscious with a sense of craftsmanship and history, it’s a real treat. The shop is also open to those who are not visiting the Land of Legends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selection in the store is carefully handpicked so that each item has an exciting history. Just like the building, the assortment radiates both antiquity and modern design. Copies from ancient times stand side by side with modern craftsmanship, combining stylistic features from different periods to create new expressions. Everything in the store is made from natural materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourist information for Lejre Municipality<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In Sagnlandet’s shop, tourists and other interested parties can find information about attractions throughout the region. On the shelves there is inspiration for places to eat, places to stay and exciting trips on foot and by bike. There is a PC in the shop for free use by tourists and visitors who want to book, search for information or anything else via the Internet. The shop staff are of course happy to help with everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Sagnlandet’s historical workshops<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In Sagnlandet’s historic workshops, craftsmen work meticulously to reproduce clothes and ceramics from the past. In the shop, you can buy a piece of their fine craftsmanship to take home with you forever. You’ll find cups, jugs and candlesticks, all hand-turned and beautifully glazed by Sagnlandet’s potters as it was done in the 1800s. A true color explosion of yarn, dyed by hand using nature’s plants, is also waiting to be knitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gift baskets for every occasion<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The shop’s knowledgeable staff have a nose for putting together inviting gift baskets. They are ideal for corporate gifts, but can also be given for Mother’s or Father’s Day, a birthday, anniversary or something else entirely.
How about a Viking basket with daggers, drinking horns and mead; an herb basket with dried lavender, a book on medicinal herbs and handmade soap or perhaps a 19th-century baking basket with a dough dish, rolling pin etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The possibilities are endless, talk to the staff in the shop if you have a special request. On request, the shop is happy to put together a unique gift basket with items to suit the occasion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jewelry, museum replicas and tools<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The shop has a large selection of replicas of ancient finds and historically inspired jewelry. Necklaces, brooches and earrings with a historical touch hang side by side with museum replicas of finds. For example, bowl clasps worn by Viking women or a small figure of the god Odin – the original was found not far from the Land of Legends in a plow field near Gl. Lejre.
The shop also has a nice selection of tools in iron and wood. Fire steel, daggers and cutting boards are just a few examples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have something on your wish list that is not on the shop’s shelves, the shop accepts orders for replicas of objects from both ancient and historical times. Talk to the store staff about the possibilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vitamin supplements for the home library<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The store’s bookshelf is full of exciting titles, many of which are unique to the Land of Legends. The garden lover, the schnapps thirsty or the history enthusiast can satisfy their appetite, just as there is something for the seriously nerdy. There are detailed guides to making longbows like in the Iron Age, or a campfire cookbook exclusively for Viking food.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cloth hats and wonderful rugs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The shop has a large collection of clothing that is something out of the ordinary. The clothes all have a touch of history and are suitable for those who have something to say. Let yourself be tempted by the well-mixed hat rack, face winter with a beautiful, warm sweater or drape the sofa with a nice wool blanket. All textiles are of course made from natural materials such as wool, cotton and linen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
