How do archaeologists dig, and what methods and tools do they use? How do we know how old something is, and why is that important? You can try your hand at all this and more, and learn more about the world of archaeology at the Archaeology Workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 activities: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Be an archaeologist for a day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archaeology Workshop, stand number 10, 11.00\u201314.00 and 14.30\u201316.30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Come and join us as we excavate a grave and archaeological artefacts, examine archaeological finds and have fun with archaeology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can try your hand at being an archaeologist and join us at our small excavation site. We\u2019ll be excavating artefacts, finding post holes and trying to date artefacts using various methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Delve into the details of archaeology<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archaeology Workshop, workshop number 10, 14:30\u201316:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is a specimen and how do you excavate it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Come and help excavate a fragile artefact that\u2019s encased in plaster!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.
